A New and Relevant Training Course for Exporters Launched at the Training Center

Today, a new relevant five-day course was launched at the RA SRC "Training Center", which aims to support Armenian exporting companies in developing their capabilities to successfully operate in international markets.

The program is implemented with the support of the Government of Germany and in close cooperation with the Armenian office of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).

The participants of the event were welcomed by:

  • Arusyak Mirzakhanyan, Director of the RA SRC “Training Center”,
  • Artem Karapetyan, Head of the RA SRC Foreign Economic Activity Customs Service and Control Department,
  • Svenja Weihrauch, Coordinator of the “Sustainable Economic Development, Training and Employment” at GIZ Armenia.

Arusyak Mirzakhanyan thanked the participants, emphasizing the role of such educational programs in fostering an effective dialogue between the public and private sectors. “Success in the global economy requires not only high-quality products, but also deep knowledge of international standards, customs procedures, and market requirements. Education is one of the fundamental tools through which such success can be achieved,” she noted.

In his speech, Artem Karapetyan highlighted the strategic importance of the program, noting: "This initiative is another step toward the goal we consistently strive for: supporting the sustainable development of exporting companies, increasing the capacities of the public and private sectors, and promoting Armenia's integration into international markets."

Svenja Weihrauch presented the broad regional context of the program, noting that the EasTnT initiative, within the framework of the “Strengthening Sustainable and Digital Trade Routes and Logistics Concepts between the Eastern Partnership Countries and the EU” program, is aimed at supporting Armenian exporters and promoting international trade. These priorities also served as the basis for development of the current course.

On the first day of the course, international experts Irakli Tsikoridze and Giorgi Chitadze presented Georgia’s transit regulations and the new synchronized transit system.

They touched upon the key regulations for the transit of goods through the territory of Georgia, the necessary documents, the advantages of the new system, online tools, official portals, etc.

In the coming days, the experts will talk about sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) requirements and technical trade barriers for entering the EU, Canadian and US markets. They will also present the EU legal frameworks for goods of animal and non-animal origin, certification requirements, and other topics relevant to the export processes to EU countries, the US and Canada.
