Memorandum of Understanding Signed Between the State Revenue Committee and the American University of Armenia

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the RA State Revenue Committee and the “American University of Armenia” Foundation, marking a new phase of cooperation between the SRC and AUA.

The deepening of this cooperation aims to systematically promote the digitalization of public administration, enhance educational capacity, and strengthen analytical capabilities to improve efficiency across relevant sectors.

Within the framework of these joint efforts, the signed memorandum opens new opportunities both for the professional development and training of AUA students and for the SRC to introduce and test innovative solutions.

SRC Chairman Eduard Hakobyan emphasized the importance of such strategic partnerships, noting that collaboration with universities plays a key role in the digital transformation of public administration. According to him, consolidated efforts and the active use of the potential of academic institutions can significantly contribute to improving the efficiency of public systems.

In turn, AUA President Bruce Boghosian highlighted the university’s readiness to actively contribute to the development of the public administration system, remaining committed to its mission of delivering high-quality education and deepening public engagement.

As part of the workshop accompanying the signing ceremony, the SRC presented its current experience in applying data-driven solutions, particularly the implementation of machine learning and artificial intelligence in tax administration.

By taking a leading role in the strategic integration of information technologies, the RA State Revenue Committee contributes to the alignment of the public administration and scientific-educational sectors, fostering a sustainable dynamic of mutually beneficial cooperation. In this regard, the Committee continues to expand its collaboration with local and international research centers and expert communities.

The emerging cooperation between the SRC and AUA represents a new model of interaction between academic and public institutions, aimed at building a modern, transparent, and data-driven public system where education, technology, and a new governance culture are combined to ensure effective and long-term results.
