Training on “Information Technology and Digital Governance”
The use of digital tools is increasingly becoming a significant part of our daily work, making free, seamless, and secure access to information technologies more important than ever.
Naturally, this shift requires adherence to safe practices when using digital tools in cyberspace. Accordingly, the RA SRC Training Center has included a course on “Information Technology and Digital Governance” in its training programs. The course was conducted to senior officials of the tax and customs services by cybersecurity specialist Samvel Martirosyan.
Such trainings provide a better understanding of the risks individuals face in cyberspace and how a lack of awareness or careless actions can lead to problems not only for users but also for organizations and even entire countries.
The main areas of digital governance include:
- Policy Development - creating rules and guidelines that regulate the use of digital technologies within the company.
- Data Management - managing the processes of data collection, storage, processing, and exchanging to ensure security and privacy.
- Risk Management - identifying and mitigating risks associated with digital technologies (cyber threats, data breaches, technological failures).
- Accountability - clarifying digital initiatives, roles, and responsibilities, and establishing control and accountability mechanisms.
- Capacity Building - developing skills and competencies within organizations to manage digital resources effectively and use technology for organizational goals, etc.
Digital governance is a set of rules, policies, and approaches that guide how digital technologies are applied within an organization and beyond. Effective digital governance helps ensure security and operational efficiency.
