Course “Green Customs Initiative”

On April 19, the SRC Training Center conducted a course on the “Green Customs Initiative” for employees of the Customs Anti-Smuggling Department and the Department of E-Commerce and Air Transport Operations of the RA SRC.

The course aimed to provide knowledge on illegal trade in the environmental sector and on preventing the growth of related crimes, which are also considered among the most complex issues internationally. Increasing professional interest in this field is essential, as customs officers — being primary actors in compliance checks and law enforcement — cannot effectively carry out their duties in combating illegal trade without adequate preventive and investigative capacities. Therefore, enhancing their competencies through such courses is vital for the proper performance of their functions.

The course was conducted by Lilit Ghazaryan, Chief Customs Inspector of the SRC Foreign Economic Activity Customs Service and Control Department, and a trainer at the Training Center.
