Training Course on "Trade Facilitation, Customs Authority"

Within the framework of the World Bank’s EU-funded “Trade Facilitation, Customs Authority” program, support is provided to the RA State Revenue Committee in various areas, including improving post-release risk management. In this context, from December 12 to 15, the SRC Training Center hosted a course on “Post-Clearance Risk Management of Goods.”

The course was conducted by international customs expert Jolanta Diktaniene.

Participants included employees from various subdivisions of the State Revenue Committee. The course aimed to:

• Assess the current situation in Armenia’s customs sector regarding post-clearance risk management;
• Present functions related to risk management;
• Introduce operational risk management methods, IT tools, and evaluate training needs.

Expected outcomes of the course included:

• Developing a draft report on gaps and needs in risk management;
• Improving the PCA Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

The course combined theoretical and practical work, including lectures, case discussions, situational analyses, and individual and group exercises.

Participants highly appreciated the instructor’s effectiveness and noted that the knowledge and tools gained during the course were directly relevant to their professional responsibilities.
